Introduce

BANKOM, as a privately owned company, was founded 1992 in Zemun, with many office branches throughout Serbia and Montenegro. As an initial activity, company performed mainly wholesale trade with wide range of food, chemical and electric power transmission products. Since 1994, Bankoms main activity has been importing vitamins, minerals, amino acids and other fine chemistry, designated as semi-finished products for feed production. Successful cooperation among Bankom and some of the largest worldwide producers in this field, as DSM Nutritional products (Roche) , Helm, Alpharma, Ajinomoto, lasts for more than 10 years.
Today, Bankom represents a central part of the corporation with many different activities, such as administering finance, international and domestic trade, software development, as well as activities in organizing and management of whole corporation that consisted of Feed Factory Farmavit Ljubinje, Meat Processing Industry Carnex Ljubinje, Proteins and Oil Factory Bioprotein Obrenovac.
Some of side activities are software development and whole sale trade with electricity-power transmission products. Software has become very attractive type of a product, which has been implemented in many companies in Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Besides Quality Standards ISO 9001: 2000 that have been established in 2003 and certified by TUV, Bankom get Quality Certificate of EPS in February 2005.
Among numerous prestigious awards, Bankom was awarded-Business winner of Belgrade-for 1997.
EXPORT
Bankom exports its products to countries of Balkan as well as EU, supplying those markets with the grain products program (corn, wheat, sunflower) , soybean products, additives for feed producing and metal industry products. Value of total export and import reached over 10 million EURO last year.
BIOPROTEIN
The process of ownership transformation in this company has been successfully completed in 2003 and Bankom became the main shareholder. Processing of non-GMO soybeans was restored and compared to production 2002, the production in 2004 was 7 times bigger. After many years, silos were full and employees started getting higher and regular salaries.
Besides indispensable investments, significant resources have been invested in buying new equipment, opening new sections of plant and expanding some production lines. One of the newest sections is production line of milk substitute for young animals, which made Bioprotein the only producer of milk substitute-EKOLAK in the Balkan region. Bankom is also minor shareholder of few banks-Jubanka, Nova banka and Komercijalna banka.
