Introduce: We are the largest Manufacturers of all kinds of Pig Iron in Brazil.
In 1976, our Groups current president got started in the field of Pig Iron Industry, with the building of a Pig Iron Industry in the town of Prudente de Morais MG, which was, then, able to produce 65. 000 tons per year. The indudstry was then called IMOL, which stands for Industria Minas Oeste Ltda. This Industry was operated until 1981, year in which it was sold. During this period of five years, IMOL has had the highest annual productivity rate, and therefore had its founder rewarded with a charter that allowed him the building of a new Industry.
1986 Upon concession of such charter followed the installation of a new Pig Iron Industry, in the town of Sete Lagoas, now considered the first of all Industry Units, having started its production in November, 1987.
1991 Installation of a new unit, also in Sete Lagoas, now considered the second Industrial unit of the Group, starting its production in May, 1993.
2004-Following the spread of the Group, a third unit started to be built, which is on a par with the highest independent producers blast furnaces in the state of Minas Gerais, having an installed capacity for producing 180. 000 MT a year.
