- Wellman Plastics Recycling is among the largest producers of post consumer PET products and Engineered Nylon Resins in North America. Wellman Plastics has the capacity to process over 100,000 MT's of recycled PET products into a variety of down stream products. Our faciltiy is the only fully integrated plant in North America with sortation, granulation, washing, fiber, extrusion and solid stating capacity all located on 1 central site. Our PET group sells a wide variety of polyester fiber products and PET Resins for the packaging industry. Our Engineering Resins group is the 3rd largest compounder of nylon in North America and we have over 250 automotive approval. We also sell unfilled nylon resins to variety industries from both post consumer and post industrial nylon sources. Our post consumer nylon is produced from recycled nylon carpets.
