- Zaharni zavodi PLC is one of the biggest producers in Bulgaria for sugar, sugar confectionery and ethanol. Our Confectionery factory has nearly 100 year history.
Zaharni zavodi PLC is established in the distant year 1887 when an enterprising citizen of Gorna Oryahovitsa founded a neat sweet house producing Turkish delight, khalva and caramel. The factory for sugar confectionary manufactures the following product groups: drops, hard candy, center filled candy, toffees, jelly bonbons, waffles, deserts, halva and turkish delight. The annual turnover per year is nearly 10 million euro and the number of the employees is 1 000 people.

We are certified by ISO 9001: 2008/ HACCP. We have done this for more than 100 years, with particular attention to traditions, to some of which we have become authors over time.
