Klaus Grohe established the Domaine La Louviere in 1990. Since then, he is an enthusiastic wine expert and winegrower. We specialize in red, white and sparkling wine in 12 different species under the special French standards, which are very excellent, La Louviere classic red wine has been awarded with three stars by the Hachette Guide to French wines, one of the leading wine guides worldwide.
La Louviere Rose red wine was graded with two stars by the Hachette Guide to French wines. The wines uniqueness comes mostly from its special geographical locations. The Domaine La Louviere is located in the Malepere among the mountain chain Pyrenees, close to the Atlantic and Mediterranean sea. This grape plantation has been more and more talked about by people and experts in the recent years because it grows grape varieties which can not be planted in the torrid zone of the Mediterranean sea where the climate is to hot. Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc white wine and the classic grapes---Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot. The vine must work through stones to reach the necessary nutriments and water, while it brings the much better grape wine, especially the La Louviere white wine, it keeps the refined little acid in the cool climate in this place. And, some of the red wine is matured in the small oak barrel, which can be reserved for 4 ~12 years. The wine is created under the special French wine techniques under the conditions of French wine laws and regulations.
