Introduce: Smart Card is the latest addition in the world of information technology. It is the size of a conventional credit card, and it has an electronic microchip embedded in it. The chip stores electronic data and programs that are protected by advanced security features.
In 1995, Tongya Telecommunication being aware of the dramatic inquiry from local and international market, so decided to develop Smart card business base on existing Telecommunication foundation, invited Japan Matsushita Corp. To join this project as technical partner.
To enhance group strength in 1999 the I. C. foundry, I. C. design house, finance developing fund were integrated together to further boost business promotion.
