J.TAVARES,LDA is a producer of Wine and Spirits cork stoppers located in Portugal, near 40 kms South from Leixoes Seaport and Oporto airport.

The company started its activity in 1990 and it is dedicated to export and supply directly the Wineries.

We have very good conditions to supply big quantities of corks printed and treated, and duly packed, ready for Bottling.

We have a Laboratory which controls all the Process of production since the Entry of corkwood(Boiling; selection, punching) in our Facility until the final product ready for Bottling.

Cork is a NATURAL product, which when comparing to alternatives shows several advantages like being 100% Recycable, not Harmfull for Environment, low Co emissions to produce, excellent performance in young and old Wines. Definitely , a cork on a bottle is a sign of Quality.

The question of TCA is currently controlled because the evolution of the good cork practises showed us that better sensorial results can be obtained. When buying a Wine with cork, you are definitely contributing to a better World.
